How SMS Consent Works
Last updated September 26, 2026. Iridyx is operated by Shahan M Irfan in Greensboro, North Carolina.
This page explains how a person can choose Iridyx texts. We document the source, category, wording presented, timestamp, and the phone number provided before sending. We honor STOP and do not treat a phone number by itself as consent.
Website and booking forms
The contact and pre-booking forms have separate, optional, unchecked choices for inquiry/appointment texts and promotional texts. A person can submit an inquiry or open the calendar with neither box checked. When a person checks a box and provides a mobile number, that choice applies only to the category described beside it. A direct Cal.com booking with no separate recorded opt-in is not treated as SMS permission.
Written social direct message
If someone finds Iridyx through Instagram or Facebook, we may link them to our form. If they prefer to opt in within the DM, we explain the message type and ask them to give the number and affirmative written permission. An example request is:
“Would you like texts from Iridyx about your inquiry and a discovery call, including a booking link and follow-up about your request? Message frequency varies; message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out or HELP for help. Consent is optional. Privacy: iridyx.com/privacy · Terms: iridyx.com/terms#sms. If yes, reply ‘Yes, text me’ and the mobile number to use.”
A DM that merely contains a number is not an opt-in. Promotional offers require a separately clear agreement to promotional texts.
Verbal agreement on a call
During a live conversation, including a prospect-initiated call or a live call placed by Iridyx, we can ask for express permission before texting. We should use a script such as:
“Would you like Iridyx to text you about your inquiry, including the booking link and follow-up? Message frequency varies, and message and data rates may apply. You can reply STOP to opt out or HELP for help. Texts are optional; our privacy policy is at iridyx.com/privacy and terms at iridyx.com/terms#sms. Is it okay to send those texts to the number you provided?”
We record the affirmative response and the number. A separate promotional agreement is needed for offers. If the person does not agree, we do not text them. We never send the first message to solicit consent.
After consent
Iridyx texts are sent from (336) 604-0085. The first message identifies Iridyx and relates to the permission given. A person does not have to reply YES again after a valid form, DM, or verbal opt-in. Replies of STOP stop further texts; HELP returns support information. Learn more in our SMS terms.
